Holy crap! It's September already! Where did the Summer go? It seems like there is still lots of good weather ahead, though. And that's good, because the Liberty! Bicycles Off-Road Squeezer is coming-up, like, soon! We are preparing for another fantastic event! And we hope you are, too. There are a few changes this year... We are working with the Ontario Cycling Association for both registration and event-timing. That's new for us. So, the look and feel of our online-reg system is different. Also: No ankle transponders. Timing chips will be attached to our number plates (like in some other events.) In all, we anticipate these changes will be for the better. Go to the site and sign-up today. An early-registration 10% discount applies until Saturday 18 September. Tell your friends and get on it!

Preparations are underway to launch the new Liberty! Bicycles High Altitude Weather Dirigible. As most people know, we assemble an elite team of meteorological scientists who use our floating platform to study and analyze the weather patterns up until event-day. Updates regarding the course conditions will be posted right here following each transmission. As a safeguard, we also employ a Shaman to help channel positive energy to Ra, the Egyptian Sun God, whom we believe to be the true source of sunny weather on Squeezer Sunday. We do all this as a service to participants.

Help us help you! If you or someone you know can lend a hand at this year's Squeezer, we would appreciate it. There are loads of jobs from Course Marshaling to Course Set-up to handing out water and bananas. Everything. And, our volunteers always get food, drinks, Ts, and a chance to win all the prizes that are up for grabs. Email our Volunteer Department [Squeezer.Volunteers@gmail.com]. Help us make St.Catharines and Niagara shine during this amazing event.

Up next:
The Big Move Cancer Ride
Sun 12 September. Road-ride 50km or 100km in support of the Walker Family Cancer Centre. Local cancer center. Local people. Local fund-raising. It's a pretty decent concept. By the way, they are also looking for Volunteers. Help out if you can.
Crank the Shield Stage Race
Fri-Sun 17-19 September. A 3-day off-road stage race in Ontario's Canadian Shield. If you are a serious off-road cyclist, this is a major test of your ability. It's a pretty big deal.
Liberty! Bicycles Off-Road Squeezer
Sun 26 September. Liberty! Bicycles has been hosting the Squeezer in one form or another since 1994. It is Niagara's fall off-road classic, starting and finishing in Downtown St.Catharines. A local favourite for sure. Don't miss it.

Need a road-ride hook-up? On Wednesdays at 6:30pm meet at Liberty! Bicycles on Bond. The rides tend to be casual and informal. There is typically a faster group and a slower group, and the route and pace are decided-upon based on who shows-up each evening. If you feel like coming out, please do. There is no cost, and the only prerequisites are a road-bike and a good attitude. If the weather looks iffy, call ahead to see if the ride is on. Hope to see you!

It's Squeezer time. Registration closes 25 Sept. Online Reg closes 23 Sept. Discount ends 18 Sept. Get yourself and your friends primed. Hop to it!

Could Angelina Jolie pilot the new Liberty! Bicycles High Altitude Weather Dirigible? Maybe. From a style perspective: Absolutely.
